Sudo News (Sudonews app on Google Play)

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data. The public marketing site is static — there is no one-click account deletion on the website alone. Deletion is started in the Sudonews mobile app or, if you cannot use the app, by emailing our team as described below.

Primary path: delete from the app

Use the in-app flow so we can verify your session and apply the same safeguards as the live product.

  1. Open the Sudonews app (Sudo News on the store listing).
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Open Edit profile.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Read the confirmation. Your profile is hidden and marked for removal. For 30 days you can sign in again and tap Restore to keep your account. After that period, your sign-in and saved data are removed permanently and cannot be recovered.
  6. To confirm deletion, type DELETE in capitals, or type your display name exactly as shown, then submit.

If you already requested deletion, you may see Account scheduled for removal when you sign in. Until the grace period ends, you can restore the account from that screen with one tap, or sign out.

If you cannot use the app

Email us from an address you can access. We may verify your identity before processing (for example to match the email or phone on the account).

Use the subject line Account deletion. In the message, include the registered email address or phone number you used for your Sudonews account, and any other details that help us locate your profile.
